Up and coming Portland artist SamuelThe1st drops off his new soulful single, Bo Jackson produced by Stewart Villain. Samuel pulls double duty on his latest work, singing and rapping while detailing his inspirations to step out on his own and make it big from a small city. It seems like every week Stewart Villain has been giving us some new music and this single doesn’t lack either, with rich Jazz tones that would make Bryson Tiller jealous. Be on the lookout for SamuelThe1st’s new project Pinehurst, entirely produced by DrewLocs, dropping soon.

Samuel passion for music began at the early age of seven, stealing his older brother’s CDs and drawing inspiration from artists such as Notorious B.I.G, Rakim, KRS One, and more. At the age of 16, Samuel became a student of the Portland rap scene, attending any show possible, looking up to local artists including Cool Nutz, TxE, Luck-One, Double 00, and more. Currently Samuel is in the final stages of graduating with a degree in Journalism at the University of Oregon. Balancing a full school schedule and a strong passion to create, Samuel has begun to make a name for himself opening for artists such as Tory Lanez, Zion I, and Tope as well as being in regular rotation on Jamn 107.5FM’s Northwest Breakout Show. Be on the lookout for more much from SamuelThe1st and crew in the upcoming years.
