A 19 year old Rap Master from Chicago, Chance The Rapper first made some noise on the Chicago hip-hop blog Fake Shore Drive with his video for Nostalgia in early 2011. Since then Chance has building a steady buzz, with packed out listening parties at Leaders1354 & JUGRNAUT in CHI, the full release of his premiere mixtape #10Day, and the SOLD OUT first ever #10DayLive show at Lincoln Hall. Chance recently drop the long awaited mix-tape “Acid Rap” and quickly capitalize on his buzz from Acid Rap by joining Mac Miller in an upcoming 38-city tour.

This tape came out over two weeks ago now but we really had to sit down on this one for a while for it to really sink in, the reason is because Chance the Rapper is so different to every other artist in the game right now. A first listen his erratic rhyme schemes (like stretching syllables before quick blasts of double time leading into song) kinda threw us off because of our recent diet of Rozay and Guwop Gucci Mane didn’t give us much room for lyrical variation but his immaculate beat selection kept us coming back to the tape. Now the whole team can’t stop listening to the damn thing. But just don’t take our word for it. Listen for yourself below and check the video.
