Having kicked off his 2016 with a visual for “What I’m Saying,” California native 60 East wastes no time as he turns right back around with the release of his new 12-track LP 10,000 Hours: A Story of Success. Hosted by DJ Jack Da Rippa, the project includes features from the likes of Brooklyn emcee Skyzoo, as well as Los Angeles rhymers Blu and Sly Boogy. 60’s First Dirt crew also comes through on much of the LP providing the bulk of the production. Written during an extremely trying time, 60 East was broke and homeless, hoping to make it as a hungry artist and college student. This album takes the listener on a ride that drifts from the lowest lows in 60’s career, to the highest highs, and everything in between. 10,000 Hours: A Story of Success is available to stream on SoundCloud and the download is only available on 60 East’s personal website.
